Kanga 8s (Year 5/6) 

MILO Kanga 8s is a modified version of cricket for upper primary school age children cricket that maximises the involvement of all participants in a 16 over game (8 overs per team) that requires only 45-50 minutes from start to finish. 

Since 1998 Cricket Victoria has been offering every school in Victoria the opportunity to enter boys and girls teams in the MILO Kanga 8s Statewide Competition. Over 1300 teams from over 500 schools participate in the MILO Kanga 8s Statewide Competition each season. Schools will compete in one of 50 Regional Kanga 8s Carnivals with the top 8 boys and girls teams in the state invited to attend the State Final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

There is no cost to schools or participants to compete in the MILO Kanga 8s State-wide competition.

All teams will participate in a round robin format zone carnival against other schools in their area. The winning teams are then invited to the Regional Final in Swan Hill with the topp boys and girls team being invited to play at the MCG. Each school has the chance to enter boys and girls team from Year 5/6.

Super 8s (Year 7/8 & Year 9/10)

MILO Super 8s is a modified version of cricket for lower and middle secondary school age children cricket maximises the involvement of all participants in a 16 over game (8 overs per team) that requires only 45-50 minutes from start to finish.

Each year Cricket Victoria offers every school in Victoria the opportunity to enter  boys and girls teams in the MILO Super 8s Statewide Competition. In 2005 253 girls and 302 boys teams from 258 schools participated in the MILO Super 8s Statewide Competition. Schools will compete in one of 21 Regional Super 8s Carnivals where every team plays at least three games. The winning boys and girls team from each carnival is invited to attend the State Finals at Carey Grammar Sports Complex
